Critical elements in this industry are working with a variety of inputs from the customers in different forms and shapes, the process starts with reviewing the customer input 3D models from different formats, usually received as a dump solid and cannot be used directly.
Using the Re-Parametrization tool, helped the customer directly to address this known issue, Processing the 3D model using the DFM tools helped the customer to quickly capture the vitals features, understand the major issues, capture and share with the customer as a report. The CitiusKBE tool helped the designer to update the model as per the DFM requirement, like providing Drafts, Defining parting lines, improving fillets and rounds, marking undercuts and other non-hindrance features and submitting a quick report.
The Model Compare Module was a handy tool to check the differences in the various input models in detail. It is a very detailed analysis of the changes and new features, sizes and alignments etc.
DFM models were made to help the team with features that could be used at each step of the mold design process and mfg process. It often helps the designer to concentrate on the core activities and get moving on the repetitive things. These tools act as a buddy to the designer and help him to perform better and more efficient.
Manufacturing Solutions suite helps the customer to improve the CAM programming, checking the tool path efficiently, reducing machining time and also avoiding any clashes etc.
For this customer, we also developed and delivered a customised post processor for the machine.
